British born of Congolese descent, Laurence Kanza’s childhood homes were a blend of Congolese artefacts, hand-carved chairs, and European furniture.

This early introduction to design informed her decorative style which was further honed through years of international travel. It was only a matter of time before this global nomad, motivated by a desire to be creative, would move from a career in publishing into the world of interiors, founding her line ‘La Petite Congolaise’ (translated as “The little Congolese girl”) – offering a contemporary twist on accent colours for the home.
